It's not adding up... I am getting like 2.(whatever) and this is the question. Evaluate f^-2 g for f = 3 and g = 27. A. 1/3 B. 3 C. 9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

f^(-2) is the same as 1/(f^2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it'd be 1/9

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Which means f^(-2)*g turns into g/(f^2) now plug in f = 3, g = 27 g/(f^2) 27/(3^2) 27/(9) 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh... OH! ok... I get it now, Instead of putting a one in the numerator spot you put g there

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes because in the numerator we'll have g*1 which is really just g

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, ok thanks for the help :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
