Tan of a d y=1-5x^2 at P(-5,-124) I know m=50 by the derivative formula problem is not sure what this means slope is also (y-(-124))/(x-(-5)) 50=(y-(-124))/(x-(-5)) slope intercept form y=50x+126 How did they find b?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Once you know the slope is 50 you can take you point (-5,-124) and plug into y =mx+b: \[-124=50(-5)+b\] \[-124+250=b\] \[126=b\]

can you complete the square with only two terms? I did not think so.

thank you
