help please, i'll reward medal
equation of line y=-2 cmpre with standard equation of line y=mx+c c=-2 mx=0 m=0
slope =0
@BlveXO
equation of a horizontal line is ALWAYS zero..
The Slope of horizontal line is 0.
yep always slope zero for horizontal
SLOPE rather.. (typo error) :p
and undefined for vertical
we can use the acronym VUX and HOY. http://www.thatquiz.org/tq/previewtest?M/M/O/U/35061226267623
Okay.
The answer is y=3x-11 The second one.. :))
y-(-2) = 3(x-3) y+2 = 3x-9 y=3x-11 :))
[4_05]Choose the equation of the vertical line passing through the point (-2, 3). y = 3 x = 3 y = -2 x = -2
Thank you!
I'm jotting down the steps into my notes to help remember.
If the line is vertical, then all points on that line have same x-coordinate. Therefore, if the vertical line intersects (-2,3), then the equation is x = -2. :))
Thanks for the medal... !
[4_07] (-1, 3) and perpendicular to y = -one thirdx + 7. y = 3x - 12 y = 3x + 6 y = 3x - 6 y = 3x
m=3 y-3 = 3(x+1) y = 3x+3+3 y = 3x+6 The 2nd one...
[4_07]Choose the equation of the line passing through the point (-3, 1) and parallel to y = -x - 4. y = x + 2 y = -x - 2 y = -x + 4 y = x - 4
Is it C?
Nope. it's B. y-1 = -1(x+3) y = -x-3+1 y = -x - 2
[4_01]Which of the following is the slope between the points (1, 5) and (5, 2)? three fourths -three fourths four thirds -four thirds C, right?
B. |dw:1391936154733:dw|
