Take the equilateral triangle. each angle is 60 so it must sum up to 180. please help... the diagram is below . . .

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

hi what mean equilateral triangle ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1391947531064:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jhonyy9 it has all sides equal and all angles equal.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes right but how many is ,how many degree is an angle ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a triangle must sum up to 180 degree so i want to know each angle

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so you know that the sum of angles of a triangle is 180 degree and you know that an equilateral triangle has all angles equales so this mean that an angle has 60 degree because 180 /3 = 60 yes ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so than what is the question ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i dont know the angle 'T' 'S' 'R' 'Q' and 'P'

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok what you know ? that what triangle is equilateral ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

you know that triangle TRS is equilateral yes ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so this mean that angle T ,angle R and angle S has 60 degree yes ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so you know again that angle P has 120 degree and you have learned hope so much that a line has 180 degree so this mean that is angle P_1 has 120 degree so than angle P_2 need being 60 degree so than you know that angle T has 60 degree and angle P_2 has the same 60 degree so this mean that angle Q need being 60 degree because the sum of angles of a triangle is 180 degree and than 180 -(60+60) =60 ok ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u show me by drawing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jhonyy9

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

why ? there up you have draw it
