MATRICES (Comments for picture)!

I thought we had to do something like this: AX=B, so I pass A to the left like: X=A^-1(B). But I guess I was wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You mean plug the matrice to the right into the x?

OpenStudy (kainui):

No, I read the question wrong. That's the right answer, to left multiply both sides by A inverse, maybe you messed up your matrix multiplication? What did you get for X?

OpenStudy (kainui):

I'm getting:\[A^{-1}=\left[\begin{matrix}1/9 & 0 \\ 0 & 1\end{matrix}\right]\] and \[X=\left[\begin{matrix}1/9 & -4/9 \\ -5 & -4\end{matrix}\right]\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, seems I screwed up the calculations. Thanks.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Want me to help walk you through any of it so that you don't mess it up next time you have to multiply matrices (which is many more times lol)
