OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

Sarah is making a scale drawing of a painting that is 48 in. wide by 120 in. high. Her paper is 12 in. wide and 24 in. tall. She decides to use the scale 1 in. = 4 in. Is this a reasonable scale?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

She will create a size 12 inches by 30 inches. See a problem with that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, if the scale is 1 in. = 4 in. then the paper would have to be 30 in. tall

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because...120/4 = 30 in. tall. She only has a paper that is 24 inches tall.
