I need to reduce this to it's lowest terms x^-x-20 / x^2+2x-8

I'd suggest that you factor numerator and denominator, separately, then cancel any factor that is the same in numerator and denominator. What would the domain of the resulting expression be?

I come up with 5 over 2-2 which is not a correct answer
\[x*x-x*2*2*5 \div x*x+2*x+2*2*2, cancle x*x and x and 2*2\]
