Hi, The system has a catch, this catch usually retains notifications. Sometimes, the system processes the old notifications twice. This is known as "clearing." If you've used Xbox Live, you'll notice that sometimes you receive old emails. The system needs to sometimes duplicate these emails or notifications (information) in order to process it. Your notifications are rather old - a few hours. This doesn't usually happen; consider it bad timing. TL;DR Sorcery and magic.
I'm on the other end of the spectrum. Sometimes notifications don't show up in real time and at others, it simply wont alert me. :(
