\[2^{1/2}.2^{1/3} = 2^{5/6}\] All you need to do is add the powers together like (1/2 + 1/3) and you get (5/6) so the coffecient remains the same as you use this formula \[x ^{m} times x ^{n} = x ^{mn}\]
