please help with math
Hi, Trolley, Great to see you back on OpenStudy! It's straightforward reading off certain values from this nice boxplot illustration. What's Q1? Q3?
I've obtained Q1=59. Mind looking again and seeing whether you agree or disagree?
And Q3 = ?
How is the IQR defined?
Please make up a list of important definitions and formulas for later review, study and application. The IQR (nterquartile range) is IQR=Q3-Q1. And yes, it's 8. The median is sometimes referred to as Q2.
Not sure what to make of the part of your question dealing with "whiskers." The given graph already shows the whiskers very nicely. Am I msssing something?
I enjoy discussing things in person, too, but must say that this OpenStudy is an awesome way to work together at problem solving. Trolley, as much as I'd like to continue, I need to log off my computer now. Hope to see you again soon!
