(First of all, can I search closed questions by keyword, so I don't have to redundantly ask a question and can consult previously answered ones easily?) In lecture 4, the professor talks about vector b requiring n^2 operations. What is this vector b on the right side that he is referring to? Wouldn't the comparison be the matrix L in the equation A=LU? Can someone identify what I am missing here?
