OpenStudy (avai70178):

Can someone please help me with this?

OpenStudy (avai70178):

1:2 2:1 3:2 2:3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you given any other info about the triangles?

OpenStudy (avai70178):

No just the attachment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well since the file is called similar polygons im gonna say these triangles are similar so their sides should have the same ratio

OpenStudy (avai70178):

yes i already found out that the side equal to 30 is 45 but the ratios dont match up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what am i solving for exactly? you posted a bunch of ratios, are you telling me to find the ratio of the triangles?

OpenStudy (avai70178):

Those are the options. I think you had to solve for the missing side ,which I did, and then solve for the ratio.

OpenStudy (avai70178):

I can't solve for the ratio when i did I got 3:3 which isn't an option

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i think i know what you are supposed to do first the side correspong to XZ = 10 is AC= 15 so the ratio is 10/15

OpenStudy (avai70178):

Oh okay my fractions were wrong then. So then the other fraction would be 30/45

OpenStudy (avai70178):

Or in other words 2:3

OpenStudy (avai70178):

right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup thats right

OpenStudy (avai70178):

What a relief thank you so much.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome
