ok.... look st the point D has a y value y = 1 and the point C has a y value of 6 so you are dividing the distance (6 -1) in the ratio of 4:1 so you can use the unitary method distance is 5 units and there are 5 parts to the ratio.... (4 +1 =5) so each part of the ratio is 1 unit... so count down 4 units from the c value... or 6 - 4 = 2 so the y value for the point is y = 2
