I dropped out of high school also though.
School is very hard. It doesn't accommodate a ton of learning styles.

@zepdrix Yeah, school's tuff when teachers just don't give a damn about students. They just don't teach. I learn alot more on the net than I do at school

next, i believe it depends more on if/how u apply to higher studies... u need to play bit smart when applying for masters/phd to univs...
univs dont reject/accept any application just based on GPA.. that much i can say

I don't know why everyone wants to study in U.S. Saying U.S education is bad perhaps is to much of a generalization. But from my experiences, and from the news, it is indeed really bad. Plus, tuition is ridiculously high.

infrastructure/sophisticated labs/good professors... those are the main reasons for indians/middle east to run to US for masters... also masters in ANY US univ gets a highly paid job easily after returning to india lol

Don't blame the professors or anyone, in a university you're treated as a number, you have to read your books.

well, you're right that we have responsibilities, but then again, universities use that "you're an adult" excuse and treat students like cr*p. And by cr*p, I mean they only care about the money, and not the education quality.

You can always go to small community colleges or so, those are actually pretty good and if you plan to go to a bigger university later, you'll be prepared for it!
