Find the x-intercept and the y-intercept for the graph of the equation. x+y=7 a. 8; 7 c. 6; 8 b. 7; 7 d. 7; 6 i do not know how to do this, please help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The x intercept is when y is 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how do u think you find the x-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the y-intercept is the same thing except when x is 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so to solve for x-intercept plug in 0 for y and solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then the x-int will be (x,0) (whatever x is , 0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would the answer be 7;7 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yah

thank u i have another problem like this
