Mike wants to make meatloaf. His recipe uses a total of 7 pounds of meat. If he uses a 3 to 1 ratio of beef to pork, how much pork will hi use? Enter your answer as a mixed number in simplest terms.

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

total = 7 pound beef : pork = 3 : 1 this means if there r 3 pounds of beef there will be 1 pound of pork which means out of total 1/4 will be pork so since there r 7 pounds of meat the amount of pork is 7 x ( 1/4) 7/4 pounds got it :) ?
