Help with word problem?
The Children at Tiny Tots Day Care plant a rectangular vegetable garden with a perimeter of 210m. The length is 3/4 the width, Find the dimensions of the garden. I have no idea how to set up the equation. Any help is appreciated.
Would it be like 210=2(3/4+2x)?
I guess so..
Do you mean to find the length and width of the rectangle garden thingy?
Yeah
I think since the question says that the length is 3/4 the width that the equation would be something like: width-0.25=length I am trying to figure this out, it's weird
Would 210=4(x-.25) make any sense? 210-perimeter 4-for sides? or just 2?
So it would be the width÷0.75=length
width*0.75= length* IM SORRY LOL
Do you think it'd be 2 sides? Since 2 are for length and the other 2 for width?
Here is the final problem: ((width*0.75)+width)*2 so basically its this: (length+width)*2
So for example the width could be 75 EXAMPLE: ((75*0.75)+75)*2=262.5 So your answer for width will be close to 75.
Just go down a little bit
Ok, when I find the width do I multiply that by 3/4 to get my length, right?
Width: 60 Length: 45 60+60+45+45
That's your answer.
Thank you!
Yup. I hope I could help. This problem was confusing lol
Thanks for the medal and please close this question :)
