if no . of terms is odd, then middle term in the ascending order. if no of terms is even ,then average of two middle terms.

My teachers always said to cross them off from left to right until you get to the middle number.

if no. of terms n is odd then middle term=(n+1)/2 th If no. of terms n is even then middle terms are n/2 th and (n/2)+1 th.
