Is there a specific SQL programming course at some point? I first studied in C+ and this is a heck of a lot better than being in a DOS environment but my goal is to get to SQL stuff.

I'm not sure if you'll find a pure SQL course. You might have to do a Microsoft SQL server course or Oracle.
I can recommend you two books: http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0764579509.html and http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-1118002679.html
