Explain why it's sometimes helpful to use the point-slope form instead of the slope-intercept form..

OpenStudy (a1234):

In slope-intercept form, you need the slope and y-intercept. In point-slope form, you need the slope and one point. It may sometimes be useful to use point-slope form because in this form, you can graph the equation using only one point. You can also see a point included on the line.
