Hey @jigglypuff314 !

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

factor by grouping y = 3x^3 - x^2 - 27x + 9 = x^2(3x-1) - 9(3x-1) = (3x-1)(x^2 -9) and you can factor the x^2-9 = (x+3)(x-3)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

correct :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

when it is an exponent to and exponent the exponents multiply so m^8^(1/4) = m^(8*1/4) = m^2

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

is it 16 16/(16^2) ------- or --------- ? 16^2/4 4

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

then yeah, you were correct :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

it's a difference of squares y = a^2 - 2ab + b^2 = (a - b)^2

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

replace a = x and b = 6

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yep :)

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

idk this stuff, but look to me like there should be a y intercept at y = 2 http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=2+*+4%5Ex

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

and I've gtg :/
