Correlation is a concept from elementary statistics.
The commonest is linear correlation, where we determine whether the dependent variable, y, is linearly dependent on the independent variable, x.  
Let me take a look at your graph; then I could give you more specific feedback.

In looking at your graph, I'll try to determine whether the data points appear to lie pretty much in a straight line.  I'll also determine whether y increases as x increases, or decreases when x increases.  You going to be able to post that graph?
