how do you put irregular verbs into subjunctive form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are exceptions, but often you use the singular first person (yo) conjugation, then replace the -o at the end with the appropriate subjunctive ending. Example: tener --> tengo (first person singular present) --> tenga (subjunctive) Espero que (ella) tenga el libro. I hope she has the book. Necesito que tengas cuidado. I need you to be careful. Example: conducir --> conduzco --> conduzca (subjunctive) Quiero que conduzcas con mas cuidado. I want you to drive more carefully. Other irregulars include ser (--> sea) and ir (--> vaya)
