What is 1/9 divided by 2/13? (A) 1 and 5/13 (B) 13/18 (C) 1/2 (D) 9/26

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain how you came up with that one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look: 2/13 / 1/9 is the same as 2/13 x 9/1. So we can just multiply them and get: 18/13 then we can divide 18 / 13 and we get 1 with a remainder of 5. So 1 with a remainder of 5 is the same thing as 1 5/13

awesome!
