if us substitute -5 instead of x u will get +2 .. then this statement is true

2. independent variable = x value = 1
dependent variable = y value = 8
when x is 1 on the above equation y is 8 ... so this one is also true :P

3. 4 comma 11 means ( 4 , 11) a set of an ordered pair
here
first value ( value before comma ) is the x value and the other is the y value

according to this
when x = 4 y should = 11
this is also true...

so the incorrect one is the forth one
