OpenStudy (a1234):

Put the values into the equation and see if they work.

OpenStudy (a1234):

*inequality.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try D ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can some one walk me through this. I really have no idea how to do this. sorry. :P

OpenStudy (a1234):

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but none of these equations are working...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So does this mean you cant help me. Can someone just give me an answer? or can someone walk me through it. (sigh) :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@surjithayer you are my last hope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please?

OpenStudy (a1234):

Well, you see...D looked like it works, but it doesn't. I'll show you. 2x + y > 0 and -2x - y > -8 (-1,-1) 2(-1) - 1 > 0 -2 - 1 > 0 -3 > 0...no -2(-1) + 1 > -8 2 + 1 > -8 3 > -8...which is correct If you follow the same steps for the other choices, you see that they work, too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are correct ,no pair satisfy the given condition.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks everybody. Sadly I can only give a medal to one of you!

OpenStudy (a1234):

You're welcome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey @a1234 can you give @surjithayer a medal?

OpenStudy (a1234):

Sure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks both.
