when coding on IDLE and a syntax error is made, can one continue coding or start a fresh. Also, I noticed that after writing my codes I dont know where to run them on the IDLE platform to get results.

OpenStudy (turingtest):

On a PC, when you open IDLE, hit CTRL+N to open a new window, in which you can write code at your leisure and run within IDLE by pressing F5.

Yes, you have a couple of options while coding in idle. First is the interactive environment that executes as you enter code, or you can as TuringTest said, write your code in a file to be executed or saved for later at your discretion.
