Need help with a graph, please. Graph the system of inequalities(shade each half-plane solution, not only the overall solution).
Sure maybe I can help
|dw:1392153130919:dw|
|dw:1392153308065:dw|
are you supposed to graph all of those inequalities on the same graph?
No, you didn't correctly follow his directions for shading with \(y \le 2x-4\)
if that's what shading to the right of the slanted line does, then yes.
why would you say that? isn't that to the right of the slanted line? unless there are other constraints that are to be obeyed that preclude shading the bottom right?

Yes.
But there are two more inequalities still to be graphed.
You have to draw the two lines and once again shade the proper side of the line that satisfies the inequality. Having seen the first two inequalities plotted and shaded you should be able to do this on your own. For example, to plot y >= -4x, first plot the line: y = -4x. You can choose two points: If x = 0, then y = 0. So (0,0) is one point. If x = 1, y = -4. So (1,-4) is another point. Plot the two points and draw a line through them. Since the inequality is " y greater than or equal to" shade the region above that line.
