Is there more to the question than this?

A. 6 B. 10 C. 15 D. 20

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

\(f(10) = \) the value of \(y\) in the row where \(x = 10\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

looks like the equation for \(f(x) = \frac{5}{2}x-5\)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

To find that, I took two points, (2,0) and (4,5), found the slope between them by dividing the change in the y values (5-0 = 5) by the change in the x values (2 - 0 = 2), giving me a slope of 5/2. Then I used the point-slope formula \[y-y_0 = m(x-x_0)\]to fit the line:\[y-0 = (5/2)(x-2)\]\[y = \frac{5}{2}x-5\]
