What are some areas of the brain that contribute to the ability to ride a bike? I'd appreciate any help
I believe one is the motor cortex.
more specifically the frontal lobes, hope this helps! from my understanding there could be many more involved as well.
Yes, the frontal lobes help regulate motor sensors. As well, the other three lobes, the parietal, occipital, and the temporal lobes also contribute. Think of it like this. When you are riding the bike, you indeed are using motor sensory to help you create motion. In doing so, visual and auditory functions help coordinate the completeness of the ride. Emotionally, the action of riding the bike stimulates the mind, body, and soul simultaneously. Dopamine is released as a desert in accomplishing the action. Serotonin levels remain positive and therefor your brain will be programmed to remember the action, desire the action, and feel wonderful after the action of riding the bike. Okay. How did I do?
