I NEED HELP (GEOMETRY!!!) PLZZZZZ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SO I'm suppose to draw my Initails using parallel lines. and I'm totally lost. I tried the first time and my teacher want's me to use arc's and yea I'm lost

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

you first said using parallel lines but your teacher wants you to use arcs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use both the parallel and perpendicular line constructions @acxbox22 sorry my bad

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

do you have to also give the equations for the lines or something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@acxbox22 no

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

what are your initials?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@acxbox22 G.P.

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

|dw:1392167579250:dw|

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

the lines are supposed to be perpendicular

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

and parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok still lost but thanks for the help

OpenStudy (nikato):

Do you know how to construct parallel and perpendicular lines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but i'm having a really hard time seeing how to put them into initails

OpenStudy (nikato):

I would stat with parallel lines to form the top and bottom of G Then draw a perpendicular line that touches both lines to form the left line of G

OpenStudy (nikato):

Then another perpendicular line to the bottom parallel line and then another perpendicular line to the perpendicular line you just drew to make the whole G Does this make any sense to you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes!!!! Omg thank you I was about to have a break down!!!!

OpenStudy (nikato):

Ok, that's the G. For P, if you want it the same size as G, make the left line of P the same as the left line of G, then construct two perpendicular lines to that line you draw . And for that right line, draw a perpendicular line to one of the 2 perpendicular lines you drew, and you should have P now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!!! you were very helpful I finally got it!!!! @nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

Ok. No problem. Glad to help
