How does electrostatic potential vary with distance from the center of an isolated hollow conductor with charge Q+ and radius R? Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it a cylinder or a sphere? Inside, the E field is zero. Outside, the sum of the charges determines the field (use Gaussian surface analysis perhaps) and will fall as 1/r^2 for a sphere or 1/r for a cylinder.

It doesn't say if it's a sphere or not, I'm supposed to sketch a graph showing the changes, thanks

A bit of a sloppy question then. You are welcome.
