Can someone help me with one question? I really do not understand It I have tried to do it but I cant even get through part A. Please work through this with me will give Medal + Fan (attached image)
what three terms are being multiplied? x=# of theatres 2x=# of showtimes 6x=# of seats
Oh i got that but not the X only the 2 & 6 okay can you help me with parts b and c?
do you know what a degree of a polynomial is?
yes the degree of a polynomial is equal to the degree of the term with the highest degree
from what i got, what is the degree of 6x? sorry i dont know part c.
would it be 1 since when there is a variable with no exponent you add a 1 right?
oh and its okay i think i know the answer to C its manly A & B im stuck on well now B ha
no you dont add a 1, degree of polynomial is just the highest power in that polynomial 3x^2+4y degree is 2
so the answer would be 2nd degree trinomial?
yes , for my example
oh so can you walk me through my question?
first it says x is number of theatres 2 times # of theatres is showtimes =2x then 3 times number of showtimes equal number of seats = 2x(3)=6x
yes I understand that part.
