OpenStudy (anonymous):

Two lines form a linear system. The slope of one line is 4 and it has a y-intercept of (0, -3). The slope of the other line is 4 and it has a y-intercept of (0, 8). How many solutions does this system have? 0 1 2 infinitely many

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

b=-3 m=4 so the line 1 is y=4x-3 b=8 m=4 so the line 2 is y=4x+8 lines that have same slopes are parallel, and parallel lines don't intersect, therefore NO SOLUTION.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

No solutions, would the same as ZERO solutions.
