(6s^4 + 7s^2 + 7) + (8s^4 - 11s^2 +9s)

I got 14s^4 -4s^2 +9s+7 when simplified but i used a calculater, can anyone help me just write this all out.

14s^4 - 4s^2 + 9s + 7....this is the correct answer.

(6s^4 + 7s^2 + 7) + (8s^4 - 11s^2 + 9s)
combine like terms
6s^4 + 8s^4 = 14s^4
7s^2 - 11s^2 = -4s^2
9s -- there is no other like term
7 -- there is no other like term
put it all together and you get : 14s^4 - 4s^2 + 9s + 7

Thank you so much so you really just have to combine the terms that are alike? And is that in standard form?
