Can Anyone help me learn how to solve this i need to write it out step by step. Ok so i need to find the GCF of the terms of each polynomial. Then factor the polynomial. 3b^4 -9b^2 +6b Can you write it out for me please?:) I hate asking for just an answer because i don't learn anything so this way if u write it out ill pick it up a little.
3b^4 -9b^2 +6b

:(
3b^4 - 9b^2 + 6b what do all these terms have in common ? Is there a number that can go into all three terms ? Is there a variable present in all three terms ?
3b^4 and 9b^2 and ^b because they all have the same variable?
Notice that 3 goes into all three terms and that b is present in all three terms. So lets factor... 3b^4 - 9b^2 + 6b 3b (b^3 - 3b + 2) do you understand how I did that ?
Sorta is it because you broke down the 6b?
I factored out 3b. And because 3 goes into 6 two times and the b is factored out, that leaves us with just 2
i see!
So how would i write it all out i would say the GCF's are 3b(b3−3b+2)
The GCF is what you factor out, therefore, if it is just asking for the GCF, it is 3b
hum ok, thannks. and what do they mean factor tthe polynomial?
that is just what we did...the GCF is 3b, and when factored we get : 3b(b^3 - 3b + 2)
what is in parenthesis is the result of factoring out 3b
awwww! i see now wth i make things complicated!
lol...glad I could help :)
AWESOME:) just sometimes i dont understand how the computer shows me cuz im homeschooled and i dont have help here at work cuz my moms busy
I see what you mean...sometimes it is better to work with a person one-on-one.
