Write your answers as integers or as decimals rounded to the nearest tenth. https://study.ashworthcollege.edu/access/content/group/45b8c516-1008-46d7-aa1d-bb9b62c786ff/geometry_exam_8_files/mc005-1.jpg A. x = 5.7, y = 6.9 B. x = 6.9, y = 5.7 C. x = 11.3, y = 8 D. x = 8, y = 11.3

A right triangle having 45 degree angle is isosceles since its two angles are 45 and 45. So 8 and y must be equal because they are the legs of an isosceles triangle. Now by Pythagorean theorem, 8^2 + y^2 = x^2 putting y = 8, 8^2 + 8^2 = x^2 solving this equation you get x = 11.3 So the answer is x = 11.3 and y = 8
