OpenStudy (texaschic101):

take your two points and put them in the slope formula slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) (1,-1) x1 = 1 and y1 = -1 (4,-1) x2 = 4 and y2 = -1 now sub slope = (-1 - (-1) / (4 - 1) slope = (-1 + 1) / 3 slope = 0/3 If the numerator is 0, then the slope is 0. If the denominator would have been 0, then the slope would have been undefined.

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

The slope is 0
