Find the area of this parallelogram

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Number 8

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

The formula to find the area of a parallelogram is...\[a=b \times h\]Where "a" is the area, "b" is the base, and "h" is the height.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know this part of it. But I don't understand thenumbers given.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wouldd it be 28.2?

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

So, lets solve parallelogram ***8**** together since it is the hardest one. You have to watch out because this is a flipped parallelogram! The dashed line is the height. So you know the height is 5.7. Now, the square that is by the dashed line, always has to be on top of the base. So, by seeing that the square is on the left side, you know that the base is 4.7. So...\[4.7 \times 5.7 = \]

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

That was for number 8 ^ I think after you solve this one you can sole number 7. c;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its 26.79?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since youre still here can you help me on the nex few?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Yes, it is. And I can help you with the next few. c;

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Hm...I do not understand that last question... Let me call @tHe_FiZiCx99

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks
