Can Someone Explain Capacitor ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Capacitor has two conductors separated by an insulator, sometimes air. Voltage placed on the capacitor give it + charge on one surface and - charge on the other, and this is stored electrical energy, which can be discharged and used later.
