HERE IT IS:

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Okay, aren't those two angles with the algebraic expressions as their measures equal?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

If so, set one equal to the other and solve for the variable. Then use the value you found to evaluate the angle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm confused.....

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

okay, by geometry principles we know that FGC and GHD are congruent angles, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

okay, and we know that the angle in the first one is \(3x+2\) and the second one is \(5x-10\). That means\[3x+2=5x-10\]Can you solve that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^^^Thats what I was about to put.... :P Can you solve it??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok yeah! So x=6 which means the answer is 20?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Ding ding ding! We have a winnah!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks soo much!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
