three steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what it said

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

\[x+(x+1)+(x+2)=117\]

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

\[x+x+1+x+2=117\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay i'll try to do it with my own method let x be one of the numbers x+1--> second number x+2--> will be the third one their sum is 117 so \(x+ (x+1)+(x+2) =117\) simplify and solve for x

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Lets assume that x is the number, and when you add 1 and 2 to it, you will get the next two consecutive numbers.
