During the past 12 months we have had the opportunity to do an internship in dentistry in China , specifically in Beijing. This rather unusual experience has enabled us to discover amazing places and amazing people . Initially, we chose China as destinations to gain experience . Indeed, the technologies related to dentistry are much more advanced than most countries of the world. We also discussed later in this presentation. To return to our arrival, it was a real culture shock for us. The airport was full to bursting . There were people walking in all directions , speaking Mandarin ( I do not know how to speak this time!) . Still, you should know that the city of Beijing has 11.5 million alone ! I admit , it is small when compared with the entire population of China , which is 1,351,000,000 . So the airport was bright, spacious and very modern. To go to our apartment which was located in downtown , we just took the express train directly into the airport. To my surprise , this little journey only lasted 15 minutes. When we arrived at our apartment , two other Quebecers in the same course that we have salué.L apartment was very small, but clean. The next morning was our first day in training . We went cycling in scorching heat , crossing a cloud car , trucks and cyclists going in all directions. It was impressive to see. However, there were a lot of smog this morning. Breathing was difficult even with a mask. The skyscrapers that we had seen the previous day had disappeared even in this thick fog.

breaking things into paragraph has an advantage, you will also realize that you want to be more systematic in sharing your thoughts and not jumping from sentence to sentence

you can throw in some details like how long the internship to 12-month internship

you are communicating from your own perspective even if you were with other people, so you want it in the first person - the I, me, and my. It makes all the difference, because when you say we... you will have to identify who is "we" and perhaps do an character introduction, well if you have all the time you can do that, but it makes your life more complicated.

if you were talking to me about an activity you did with a friend, you would normally say "my friend and I ...." but from reading your essay, I don't see any perspective from your friend at all
