OpenStudy (avountae2003):

Which of the following vocabulary words from Jane Eyre correctly completes this sentence? Miss Scatcherd had a list of _____ complaints about Helen Burns. A. comprised B. sundry C. truculent D. tumult

OpenStudy (anonymous):

comprised is a verb and means consist of, so that doesn't work sundry means diverse which could work, but there could be another word that works best truculent is brutally harsh which could also work tumult is a noun (we are looking for an adjective) and means a commotion, so that doesn't fit. So down to sundry and truculent, the only adjectives in the group, which do you think fits best?

OpenStudy (avountae2003):

C
