Which literal equation is equivalent to a = 4b + 5? b = a + 5 / 4 b = a - 5 / 4 b = 4a - 5 b = 5a + 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i meant the second choice :P

OpenStudy (j2lie):

b=5a+4 because they're the same numbers but in different order.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@j2lie i do not think those are equal... you need to subtract 5 from both sides, and divide the whole thing by 4, and you get the equivalent. the equation you chose, would not be equal to the original equation.

OpenStudy (j2lie):

oh ok I understand what you mean.
