A college freshmen must take a science course, a humanities course and a mathematics course. If she may select any of 6 science courses, any of 4 humanities and any of 4 mathematics courses, how many ways can she arrange her program? Make a tree diagram and list the possibilities.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You should start drawing. It's a bit tricky to draw your tree diagramme in this environment.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, alright. I guess. Though, it will be much of a puzzle for me to create a tree diagram. I would give my draft of the answer to you or anyone who can answer this. May I request some assistance or some sort of correction after I do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On another note, I find that whatever the answer is...it will be such a drag for me to draw. Oh well. :/

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Sorry, not much choice on this one. It actually says to make a tree diagram and list ALL the possibilities. Yikes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hehe Well, must be starting then! Thank you for your assistance Sir hunny! :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmmm.. come to think of it, it sounds like I'm going to make this on my own. *sob*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is 6*4*4, or 96, different arrangements. It's really mean to list all of them, though.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, alright! I think I can do this. Thank you for your help Mr. Sleung! :) I forgot there is an easier way for this. I shall begin making the tree diagram pronto! Also, I'll be posting another question... but a moment of your time if I may ever be so bold, how can you post another question? Does my previous question have to be answered correctly before proceeding with the next?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

The "answer" is NOT 96. If that is the correct number, then the answer is: 96 Tree Diagram List of ALL possibilities. Compliance is part of the order of the day.
