Which of the following sets of side measurements could form a right triangle? A 30, 40, 50 B 7, 23, 25 C 10, 15, 17 D 12, 19, 22

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

just check whether the square value of 2 smaller sides will add up to the square value of the largest side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its c ?

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

i will show u how do it for given choice.. let;s take D the largest side is 22 the square of 22 = 22 x 22 = 484 and the 2 small sides r 12 and 19 square of 12 = 12 x 12 = 144 square of 19 = 19 x 19 = 361 so if u add them together 144 + 361 = 505 it does not equal to square of 22.. so D is not a choice...

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

follow the same steps for others as well and check whether they r equal ...

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

It's not C

OpenStudy (***[isuru]***):

can u follow the steps ?
