5a^2-10a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you trying to simplify it or...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factor it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

%a (a-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, 5A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you show me how you got that answer? please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5a - 10a find the common multiplier it is 5 because: 5 x a = 5a and 5 x -2 = -10 put the common multiplier in front of brackets and put the other numbers in the bracket so: 5a - 10a = 5a (a - 2) 5a (a - 2)

And to check your answer you would use distributive property.
