since this one is a parallelogram DH = HF ( diagonals bisect each other) GH = HE ( " " ) so since DH = HF y + 4 = 3x -1 ------(1) also we can say GE = GH + HE since GH = HE GE = 2HE so... 28 = 2(3x + 2) 3x + 2 = 28/2 3x + 2 = 14 3x = 12 x = 4 if u substitute x = 4 in (1) y + 4 = 3x - 1 y + 4 = (3*4) -1 y + 4 = 12 - 1 y + 4 = 11 y = 7 got it :) ?
