Describe the particles that make up the nucleus of an atom in terms of mass and charge.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Proton and neutrons combine make nucleus. So, they also called nucleons. Proton is positively charged particle where as neutron is neutral particle. Combine produce positive charge.mass of neutron slightly heavier than proton. Nucleons are bind by strong nuclear force and nucleus is the most stable thing in the universe and one of the most dense thing If you want more reply me

OpenStudy (masumanwar):

well lets start with quark hypothesis as the nucleus is positive as Rutherford proposed with all the mass in the center as nucleus is made up off quark triplet proton is positively charged and neutron charge nutral
